Traditional Background
Where Do Herbal Drinks Come From?
Herbal drinks have been enjoyed in China for centuries, from cooling summer brews to warming winter tonics. They grew out of the idea of “medicine and food from the same source”: many herbs, such as goji berry, jujube, chrysanthemum and hawthorn, have long been used both as food and as gentle traditional remedies[1].
Our herbal beverage is crafted with carefully selected Chinese herbs, chosen in TCM terms to clear heat, replenish Qi and help restore internal balance, while tasting good enough to enjoy every day.

Modern Scientific Perspective
What Does the Research Say?
Many herbs on China’s official list of “medicine food homology” ingredients are now used in modern functional foods and drinks. Researchers have studied the plant compounds they contain, such as polysaccharides, flavonoids and other polyphenols[1]. Similar compounds are found in many herbal teas and drinks worldwide[2].

Most research is laboratory-based or small-scale, so we present our herbal beverage as a pleasant everyday wellness drink, not as a treatment for any condition.
