Acupuncture
Acupuncture is one of the oldest and most widely used therapies in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Very fine, sterile, single-use needles are placed at specific points along the body's energy channels to encourage circulation, calm the nervous system and help the body return to its own natural balance.

What to expect in a session
After a short consultation, you will rest comfortably while the needles are gently placed. Most people feel only a light sensation, and many find the session deeply relaxing. Needles stay in place for around 20–30 minutes.
Depending on your needs, your practitioner may combine acupuncture with complementary techniques such as electro-acupuncture, moxibustion (warming therapy) or cupping for an enhanced effect.
Frequently asked questions
Does acupuncture hurt?
The needles are far finer than those used for injections. Most people feel a brief tingle or a dull, heavy sensation, which is normal and usually settles quickly.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies by individual and condition. Some people notice a difference after one or two sessions, while longer-standing concerns may benefit from a short course. Your practitioner will advise a realistic plan at your first visit.
Is it safe?
Yes. We use only sterile, single-use needles and follow strict hygiene standards. Acupuncture is suitable for most adults; please let us know if you are pregnant or have any medical conditions so we can adapt your treatment.
